T H E  S P E A K E R S

Growing Inward was a collaborative effort to make a difference in the way our city grows and develops. Its primary purpose was to bring to Columbus innovative and eloquent speakers who would inform and challenge all of us, but the program went further. In addition to speaking before groups of 200 and more at the Metropolitan Club of Columbus, each speaker met with Columbus elected officials, the city's Department of Trade and Development and the editorial board of the Columbus Dispatch. Speakers attended Business Arts Partnership luncheons of the Greater Columbus Arts Council, and many spoke at evening community forums in various neighborhoods.

Each speaker's talk at the Metropolitan Club was taped and aired on Public Access Television during the month following the presentation. Growing Inward worked its speakers hard to ensure that what they offered us had the widest possible audience and the greatest possible opportunity to effect positive change in our community.
