Doug Kelbaugh

Doug Kelbaugh

Kelbaugh, dean of the College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan, is a professor of architecture and urban planning. His recent book Common Place: Toward Neighborhood and Regional Design describes the theory, design and policy of one of his initiatives, an intensive community design workshop. He was editor of The Pedestrian Pocketbook, a national best seller in its field. Kelbaugh has practiced architecture since the 1970s and has a number of award-winning designs to his credit. He is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects.
