Stanley A. Lowe
Lowe is the director of
neighborhoods and planning policy for the City of Pittsburgh. Building on
his training in history and economics and his experiences as director of
the Preservation Loan Fund for the Pittsburgh History and Landmarks
Foundation and CEO of the Manchester Citizens Corporation, Lowe is an
energetic and vocal advocate for the revitalization of inner-city
neighborhoods. He emphasizes partnerships involving neighborhood
residents, lenders, preservation groups, elected officials and the
business community. Working together, those partners can preserve and
revitalize neighborhoods, including expansion of homeownership
opportunities for low- and moderate-income residents. Lowe has received
city, state and national honors for his work in Pittsburgh, including
awards from the Pennsylvania General Assembly, the National Building
Museum and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
