Sponsors After the Residency
You made it! Now it is time to tie up loose ends. Here are a few tips on what to attend to as you bring closure to your residency.
- Convene the Artist in Residence Committee to consider next steps and develop follow-up plans to extend or deepen the residency experience.
- Assess the residency experience by soliciting feedback from the participants.
- Complete the Artist in Residence Final Report Form for Sponsors and prepare your support materials. Return the Final Report, one set of support materials and the Support Materials Checklist and Signature Form (which needs an authorized, original signature) to the OAC offices in Columbus within 30 of the end date on your Grant Agreement.
- Remember to thank individuals and organizations that contributed to the success of the residency, especially state legislators, school board and city council members, parents, media representatives and funders.
- Offer to mentor others in your school district, organization, and community who want to learn more about sponsoring a residency.
- Celebrate your success! Let your supporters and workers know that the residency was a positive experience because of their contributions.
- Share information or present a workshop on the residency experience during a future professional conference or in-service. If you would like your residency artist to be present, contact the Arts Learning Office to secure funding to support the artist's participation.
- Be aware of the February 1 deadline for an Artist in Residence application. Applications only have one deadline each year.
- Survey interested future participants and staff about their ideas for follow-up experiences, other disciplines and artists.
The print pages are formatted so that they print each page separately.
