Introduction to Resources
Welcome to one
of the most energized and dedicated communities we know-the consortium of organizations
that support arts learning!
When you participate
in an artist residency, you open the door to tremendous possibilities for using
artistic resources in your classroom, studio, school or community organization.
Through those experiences you also join a wide and varied collegial community.
This community is united by a common cause and vision-to ensure that the arts
are central to learning both in and out of school and to community life.
The following Resource
Section is an expanded version of the resource listing that was in the first
edition of our Handbook.
There are two ways
to access this information. You may begin here and browse the list of primary
organization functions listed under resources on the left side of your screen.
Clicking on any one of those categories will give you a list of all the organizations
in the database that serve that function.
Or you may go directly
to Search Resources (also accessible via the link
on left side of your screen). The search screen will give you user-friendly
access to the database in a number of ways. You can search by organization name,
discipline, function or based on whether you are an artist, arts administrator,
community organization administrator, educator or parent. We encourage you to
think of this database as a representation of your newly expanded community.
The organizations found in this listing provide valuable services and materials
for the entire community.
We want this database
to be a dynamic and relevant resource and as such it will be updated on a regular
basis. If there is an organization you think would be of interest to the
community, contact Mary Campbell-Zopf at mary.campbell-zopf@oac.state.oh.us
or 614/466-2613. TTY/TDD use Ohio Relay Service 1-800-750-0750.
We appreciate all
that you do for the arts education cause!
The print pages are formatted so that they print each page separately.
