FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT Columbus, Ohio--The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery will feature 59 Ohio artists in The Inaugural Juried Exhibition from November 5, 2015, through January 9, 2016. Ohio artists (not enrolled in a degree-granting program, age 18 and older) were invited to submit up to three artworks in a statewide call for entries. Nearly 400 applications were submitted in a wide range of media including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics, mixed media, and video. Exhibition jurors include Tyler Cann, Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus; Petra Kralickova, formerly of Ohio University, Athens; and Marilyn Simmons, SPACES, Cleveland. About the Riffe Gallery: The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery showcases the work of Ohio's artists and the collections of the state's museums and galleries. The Riffe Gallery is located in the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, across from the Statehouse on High Street in Downtown Columbus. The gallery is free and open to the public.
