Governor Kasich Reappoints Emma Off to Ohio Arts Council Board

Governor John R. Kasich has reappointed Emma Scharfenberger Off of Cincinnati (Hamilton County) to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) board for a term ending July 1, 2019.

"Emma is a valued member of the Council," said Ohio Arts Council Executive Director Donna Collins. "She brings an energy and passion for policy and programming, as well as a civic-minded approach to serving Ohioans in and through the arts."

Ms. Off is an associate at Thompson Hine LLP in the firm's Corporate Transactions and Securities practice. In addition to being on the OAC board, she serves on the boards of Aeqai, a Cincinnati-based e-journal for critical thinking, review and reflective prose on contemporary visual art; and ArtWorks, a nonprofit arts organization that encourages people to enrich Cincinnati through art, apprenticeships, employment, and education. She is a founding member and vice-chair of Attitude, the Cincinnati Ballet Associate Board. Ms. Off is active in the Dan Beard Council Professional Leadership Network, a mentorship program to the Boy Scouts of America. She is a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati and a co-chair on the entertainment committee for the University Club of Cincinnati.
