Governor John R. Kasich has reappointed Juan P. Cespedes of Columbus (Franklin Co.) to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) for a term beginning July 31, 2014 and ending July 1, 2019. I am very pleased that Mr. Cespedes has been reappointed to the council," said Donna Collins, executive director of the OAC. "His expertise in government relations and finance are invaluable to the agency." Mr. Cespedes is a principal with The Oxley Group where he works in business development and government relations. With a strong background in financial services, he represents a diverse group of clients by promoting their interests to both state and federal government. After graduating from the Fisher College of Business, Juan combined his skills in finance with his love of politics as an intern at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and as a Finance Officer for The Ohio Treasurer of State. "Governor Kasich has made an excellent choice by reappointing Juan to the Ohio Arts Council board," said OAC board chair Jeffrey A. Rich. "His business and financial acumen have been and will continue to be an important asset to the agency." In addition to being an OAC board member, Mr. Cespedes serves as the Ohio Liaison for the White House Office of Public Engagement and sits on the board of the Capitol Square Review & Advisory Board. He also stays connected to all levels of government as an advisor to multiple statewide candidates and as a volunteer for local, statewide and presidential campaigns. [top]
