The Ninth Annual Ohio Online Visual Artist Registry Juried Art Show Call for Entry is Now Open

The Ohio Arts Council, the Columbus Metropolitan Library and Friends of the Library will present the ninth annual Ohio Online Visual Artist Registry (OOVAR) Art Show at the Columbus Metropolitan Main Library's Carnegie Gallery from November 19, 2014 to January 10, 2015.

OOVAR is an online database that showcases work of more than 1,300 artists from Ohio and around the world. The exhibition will feature artwork by registered OOVAR Ohio artists selected through a blind-jury process.

A $1,000 Jurors Choice Award and a $500 Peoples Choice Award will be presented at a closing reception on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 2 - 3:30 p.m. in the Carnegie Gallery. The Peoples Choice Award will be selected by exhibition visitors and library patrons; ballots are available at the Carnegie Gallery.

The juried show is open to all living Ohio artists 18 years of age or older who are registered in OOVAR. Up to three works of original art created within the past three years may be submitted. The deadline to apply is Friday, September 19, 2014.
