Members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) board will meet Thursday, June 19 at the OAC office on the 33rd floor of the Rhodes State Office Tower, located at 30 E. Broad St. in Columbus. Committee meetings will take place Thursday morning, with the full board meeting being held from 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All meetings are open to the public. The OAC provides a live audio stream of the board and committee meetings. Listeners will hear the board's discussion via their computer speakers. Instructions will be available here. The following committees will meet on June 19: Finance at 9:30 a.m. and Executive at 10:00 a.m. During the full board meeting at 11 a.m., the OAC board will approve grant recommendations for Artist in Residence, Arts Access, Arts Partnership, Project Support, Sustainability and Traditional Arts Apprenticeships, and the board will ratify grants for Special Projects and the Ohio Heritage Fellowship Award. There will also be a presentation by David Fraher, executive director of Arts Midwest, a non-profit regional arts organization that serves audiences, arts organizations and artists throughout the nine states of IL, IN, IA, MI, MN, ND, OH, SD, WI and beyond; a poetry recitation by Lake Wilburn, Ohio Poetry Out Loud champion and first runner-up at the Poetry Out Loud national competition; and an update from Donna Collins, executive director of Ohio Citizens for the Arts.
