The Ohio Arts Council (OAC), the Columbus Metropolitan Library and the Friends of the Library are once again joining together for the eighth year to present the annual Ohio Online Visual Artist Registry (OOVAR) exhibition. OOVAR is an online database that showcases the work of more than 1,200 artists from around the world. The juried show will be displayed at the Main Library in the Carnegie Gallery from November 27, 2013 to January 11, 2014. The exhibition will feature original works of art by Ohio artists who have been selected through a blind-jury process. An award of $1,000 will be given for Juror's Choice and an award of $500 will be presented for People's Choice. The People's Choice award is selected by visitors to the exhibition and library patrons. Ballots are available at the Carnegie Gallery. The awards will be presented at a closing reception held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 2-3:30 p.m. in the Carnegie Gallery. To be eligible to apply, you must be 18 years of age or older, an Ohio resident and registered in OOVAR. To register for OOVAR click here.
