Riffe Gallery recognized in CityScene's ''Best of the 'Bus'' survey
by Kaitlin Armocida

The Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery has been voted Best Gallery in CityScene Magazine's first annual "Best of the 'Bus" survey, receiving more than twice as many votes as its competitors in the Best Gallery category. More than 180,000 readers were invited to participate in the survey and vote for their favorite gallery in Columbus, taking into consideration the depth and variety of the exhibitions each gallery produces for central Ohio patrons.

"The Riffe Gallery is honored to have been recognized as CityScene's 'Best of the 'Bus' gallery," said Riffe Gallery Director Mary Gray. "On behalf of all the artists, curators, and staff who make our exhibitions meaningful and accessible to all Ohioans, I would like to say thank you to everyone who voted."

For 23 years, the Riffe Gallery has been a part of the civic energy that makes Columbus an attractive destination for individuals, families, downtown employees, senior citizens and school groups. Unlike any other visual arts venue within the state of Ohio, the Riffe Gallery focuses specifically on presenting works by contemporary and historic Ohio artists through innovative exhibitions with varied artistic themes and curatorial perspectives, in the heart of the state's capitol.

The Riffe Gallery and all the winners of the 2012 "Best of the 'Bus" survey will be featured in the July issue of CityScene Magazine. For more information, please visit www.cityscenecolumbus.com.
