As required by section 119.03 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) hereby gives notice of its intent to share with the public a new rule regarding the circumstances under which council (i.e., board) members are prohibited from participating in the determination of financial support for OAC-funded organizations of which they are board members or employees. The OAC will hold a public hearing for the purpose of accepting testimony on the proposed new administrative rule 3379-9-02. The hearing will be held Thursday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m., in Room 420 on the 4th floor of the Rhodes State Office Tower, 30 East Broad Street, Columbus, 43215. The hearing will continue until all parties in attendance, at that time, have had an opportunity to provide comment. The rule being amended is: O.A.C. 3379-9-02 Conflict of Interest Reports At the hearing, people affected by the new rule may appear and be heard in person, by his attorney, or both; may present his position, arguments, or contentions, orally or in writing; offer and examine witnesses; and present evidence tending to show that the new rule, if adopted or effectuated, will be unreasonable or unlawful.
