Ohio Arts Council Announces March Board Meeting

Members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) board will meet Thursday, March 8 in Room South B & C on the 31st floor of the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, located at 77 South High Street in Columbus. Committee meetings will take place Thursday morning, with the full board meeting being held in the afternoon from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.

The following committees will meet on March 8: Policy and Planning, 9:00 a.m.; Finance, 9:45 a.m.; Awards, 10:30 a.m.; and Executive, 11:15 a.m.

During the full board meeting at 12:30 p.m., the OAC board will approve grant recommendations for Individual Excellence Awards and the board will ratify grants for Special Projects and Artists with Disabilities Access.

Also during the full board meeting, there will be updates from Bill Blair, legislative counsel for Ohio Citizens for the Arts (OCA), and Donna Collins, executive director of OCA. There will also be presentations from David Fraher, executive director of Arts Midwest, and from Ohio Assistant Attorneys General Angela Sullivan and Catherine Calko.
