by Amy McKay

A Way Forward InvitationOn Monday, Sept. 19, join Les Wexner, chairman and CEO of Limited Brands; Rocco Landesman, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts; Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman; and Doug Kridler, president and CEO of the Columbus Foundation, as they discuss the economic power of the arts in Ohio.

"A Way Forward: Arts and Economic Development," will be an hour-long, provocative panel conversation on the value of the creative sector in building attractive and competitive cities. This free event will begin at 4 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the Wexner Center's Mershon Auditorium, located at 1871 N. High St. in Columbus.

The economic power of the arts is undeniable, and we at the Ohio Arts Council believe the creative economy is essential to restoring Ohio to prosperity. This event will serve as a unique opportunity for members of the creative sector to show their enthusiasm for placing the arts at the center of mainstream planning for Ohio's future.

The panel will last from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a reception. To register for the event, click here: http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?oeidk=a07e4p9k0agb7160b53&llr=6tiuidbab
