Ohio Arts Council Announces June Board Meeting

Members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) board will meet June 29 in Rooms West B and C on the 31st floor of the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, located at 77 South High Street in Columbus. Committee meetings will take place Wednesday morning, with the full board meeting being held in the afternoon from 12:15 to 3:30 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.

The following committees will meet on Wednesday, June 29: Finance, 9:00 a.m.; Policy and Planning, 9:30 a.m.; Executive, 10:00 a.m.

During the full board meeting at 12:15 p.m., the OAC board will approve grant recommendations for the Sustainability, Arts Access, Artist in Residence, Arts Partnership and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship programs. The board also will ratify grants for Special Projects and Artists with Disabilities Access.

There will be updates from Bill Blair, legislative counsel for Ohio Citizens for the Arts (OCA), and Donna Collins, executive director of OCA, as well as a presentation on impending changes to the agency's Conflict of Interest rules from Greg Patterson, assistant attorney general. The board will go into Executive Session to discuss possible changes in staffing levels for the agency at 2:45 p.m.
