Gov. Kasich Appoints Jeff Rich as OAC Board Chair

Governor John Kasich has appointed Jeffrey A. Rich of Dublin as chair of the Ohio Arts Council board. Mr. Rich has served as a member of the Ohio Arts Council board since July 2006. He follows Jacquelyn Nance of Moreland Hills as board chair of the council.

"Since his initial appointment to the Ohio Arts Council board nearly five years ago, Jeff Rich has shown great dedication to the arts in Ohio," said Julie S. Henahan, executive director of the Ohio Arts Council. "Jeff's long-time commitment and connection to the arts is commendable, and I am confident that as our new board chair his energy and experience will be great assets."

Mr. Rich was appointed to the Ohio Arts Council board in July 2006 by Governor Bob Taft. He is the senior partner/CEO of the Ohio law firm Rich & Gillis Law Group, LLC, and is counsel to the Scottsdale, Ariz. firm the Rose Law Group. Mr. Rich is a board member and former president of the Ohio Citizens for the Arts and it's Foundation, the statewide lobbying group for the arts; a board member of Arizona Citizens/Action for the Arts, which is Arizona's statewide lobbying group for the arts; former chairman and CEO of BalletMet; former vice chairman of Ballet Arizona; former president of the Columbus Metropolitan Club; and co-chairman and treasurer of the Dublin Good Schools Committee.

Mr. Rich received a bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and his law degree from the Cleveland State University Law School. He has been admitted to practice in Ohio, Florida, Arizona, United States District Courts in the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, United States Tax Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Appellate District and the United States Supreme Court.
