Governor Strickland Appoints Jacquelyn Nance as Ohio Arts Council Board Chair

Governor Ted Strickland has appointed Jacquelyn Nance of Moreland Hills as chair of the Ohio Arts Council board. Ms. Nance has served as a member of the OAC board since 2009. Her term ends July 1, 2014.

“We are delighted to have someone of Jakki’s experience appointed as chair,” said Julie Henahan, Executive Director of the Ohio Arts Council. “I am confident that her enthusiasm, background and strong support for the arts will be a tremendous asset to our board. I look forward to working closely with Jakki to make the arts accessible to all Ohioans.”

Jacquelyn Nance is an attorney and native of Northeast Ohio and currently serves as the president of Philanthropic Solutions. She previously served as executive director of the LeBron James Family Foundation, president of the Cleveland Browns Foundation and the senior planned giving attorney with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Ms. Nance serves on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum board and is a member of Leadership Cleveland, Class of 2006. Ms. Nance studied dance for 18 years. She received a bachelor’s degree from Spelman College and a law degree from Case Western Reserve University.
