Ohio Arts Council Announces September Board Meeting

Members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) Board will meet September 29-30, 2010 at the OAC’s office located at 727 E. Main Street in Columbus. A special strategic planning presentation will take place Wednesday afternoon and committee meetings will take place Thursday morning. The full Board meeting will be held Thursday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.

The Cultural + Planning Group will make a presentation on the agency’s strategic plan on Wednesday, Sept. 29 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. The following committees will meet on Thursday, Sept. 30 from 9 to 11:45 a.m.: Education, Panel Selection, Policy and Planning, and Executive.

During the full Board meeting on Thursday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. the OAC Board will ratify grants for Special Projects, Artists with Disability Access and the Capacity Building programs. There will be updates from Bill Blair, legislative counsel for Ohio Citizens for the Arts (OCA) and Donna Collins, executive director of OCA, as well as a presentation from David Fraher, executive director of Arts Midwest, Ohio’s regional arts organization.
