NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Ohio Arts Council will hold a public hearing for the purpose of accepting testimony on the proposed new administrative rules 3379-15-01 through 05. These rules relate to accessing confidential personal information and are available for review in the Register of Ohio. The hearing will be held August 10, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at 727 E. Main St., Columbus, OH 43205.

The new rules are created for the purpose as shown below:
3379-15-01 Definitions.
3379-15-02 Procedures for accessing confidential personal information.
3379-15-03 Valid reasons for accessing confidential person information.
3379-15-04 Confidentiality statutes.
3379-15-05 Restricting and logging access to confidential personal information in computerized personal information systems.

The hearing will be conducted in accordance with Chapter 119 of the Revised Code. Any person affected by the new rules may appear and be heard in person, by his attorney, or both, may present his position, arguments, or contentions, orally or in writing, offer and examine witnesses, and present evidence tending to show that the new rules, if adopted or effectuated, will be unreasonable or unlawful.

Any person who wishes to present his position, arguments, or contentions in writing, other than at the public hearing, may do so by either mailing his or her written comments to the Ohio Arts Council, c/o Carolyn McClaskey, 727 E. Main St., Columbus, OH 43205, or by faxing them to (614) 466-4494. Written comments in either format must be received by 2:00 p.m. on August 10, 2010.
