Ohio Arts Council Announces May Board Retreat
by Stephanie Dawson

Members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) Board will meet on Friday, May 21, 2010 at the McConnell Arts Center at 777 Evening Street, Worthington, in the master classroom to begin the OAC’s next strategic planning process. The meeting will be held from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and is open to the public.

The OAC Board will begin work with The Cultural + Planning Group on the development of an 18-24 month strategic plan. The Board will revisit the mission, vision and core values of the OAC; consider information from a situational analysis; and discuss the ways in which the agency has immediate and long-term positive impacts for the state and its citizens.

The Board will also discuss and ratify a real estate recommendation by OAC staff.

The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically.
