Members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) Board will meet March 30-31, 2010 at the Ohio Arts Council’s office, 727 E. Main Street, Columbus. Committee meetings will take place Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. The business meeting will be held Wednesday from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m. and is open to the public. The following committees will meet on Tuesday, March 30 from 2-4:15 p.m.: Supplemental Funding; Policy and Planning; and Outreach and Underserved Audiences. The following committees will meet Wednesday, March 31 from 9-11:45 a.m.: Nominating; Education; Legislative; and Executive. During the full board meeting on Wednesday, March 31 at 12:30 p.m. the OAC Board will approve grant recommendations for Individual Artist Excellence Awards. The Board also will ratify grants for Special Projects, Arts Access, Arts Learning – Artists Express, Artists with Disabilities Access and Building Cultural Diveristy programs. There will be updates about the 2008-2009 OAC Biennial Report, Ohio Cultural Data Project and Poetry Out Loud 2010, as well as Ohio Citizens for the Arts (OCA) updates from Bill Blair, legislative counsel for OCA and Donna Collins, executive director of OCA. The Board also will hear a presentation from Jeff Hooper, director of the OAC’s Office of Arts Learning about the Ohio Traditions Web Site.
