Ohio Arts Council Announces June Board Meeting

Members of the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) Board will meet Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Ohio Arts Council’s office, 727 E. Main Street, Columbus. The business meeting will be held from 1 – 4 p.m. and is open to the public.

The OAC Board will approve grant recommendations for Sustainability, Arts Access, Arts Innovation, Arts Learning – Artists in Residence Program, Arts Learning – Arts Partnership Program and Individual Artist Grant Programs and Services – Traditional Arts Apprenticeships. There will be presentations about the Ohio Arts Council’s accomplishments from the 2006-2009 strategic plan and Poetry Out Loud 2009, as well as Ohio Citizens for the Arts (OCA) updates from Bill Blair, legislative counsel for OCA and Donna Collins, executive director of OCA.

The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically.
