Ohio Arts Council Announces Director of Office of Grants Administration and Constituent Services

Dia Foley, assistant director of the Ohio Arts Council’s (OAC) Office of Grants Administration and Constituent Services (OGACS) has been promoted to the position of Director of OGACS. She replaces Kevin Cary who retired on January 31, 2009 after 30 years of service with the OAC.

Foley’s main responsibilities will include directing grants office processes, policies and procedures; managing subsidy budget accounting; overseeing preparation of panel meeting materials; and assisting in development of application and agency program Guidelines.

“Dia has been with the OAC since 1994 and her many years of experience in the grants office will be a great benefit to the agency,” said Julie Henahan, OAC executive director.

Foley received her bachelor’s degree in theatre performance from Otterbein College. She worked at the Contemporary American Theatre Company (CATCO) in Columbus for more than five years as director of development. She was stage manager for many productions at CATCO and was the first production stage manager at the Ensemble Theater of Cincinnati from 1987 – 1988.

The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically.
