Office of Budget and Management Asks State Agencies to Cut Current Fiscal Year Budgets
by Jami Goldstein

The immediate action being taken to minimize the subsidy budget shortfall is that no new grants will be made in several programs with unallocated subsidy funds. The following programs will make no new grants until Fiscal Year 2009 (which begins July 1, 2008): Capacity Building, International Partnerships and Arts Learning—Artist Express. Remaining balances in these programs will be used to help offset the reduction in our budget and these programs will no longer be accessible through OLGA. Two programs were temporarily frozen but a small amount of funds are now available through the end of FY2008. Applications will be accepted to the Building Cultural Diversity Initiative and the Artists with Disabilities Access Program until those program funds are expended. If you have questions please contact your program coordinator at 614/466-2613.
