Ohio Arts Council Announces June Board Meeting

Members of the Ohio Arts Council Board will meet Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at the Ohio Arts Council, 727 E. Main Street, Columbus. The business meeting will be held from 1 – 3:45 p.m. and is open to the public. The Council Board will review committee reports and grant recommendations for the Individual Creativity program—Artists and Communities and Traditional Arts Apprenticeships; Arts Access; Arts Innovation; the Arts Learning program—Arts Partnerships and Artists in Residence; and the Sustainability program (over $1.5 million) and Sustainability program (under $1.5 million). The Board also will receive updates about the Ohio Arts Council Building Cultural Diversity initiative and the National Endowment for the Arts Poetry Out Loud Recitation Competition.

The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically.
