Governor to Present Welcome Address at 2007 Governor’s Awards for the Arts March 21, 2007 – Downtown Columbus by Jami Goldstein

- 2007 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio and Arts Day Luncheon. The Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio is a state-wide program that showcases and celebrates Ohio artists, arts organizations, arts patrons and business support of the arts. The program is presented by the Ohio Arts Council and the Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation. Award winners are presented with an original work of art by an Ohio artist at the public ceremony.

Award categories and recipients include: Arts Administration, Marsha Dobrzynski, Young Audiences of Northeast Ohio (Cleveland); Arts in Education, Dr. Jacquelyn Quay, (Hamilton); Arts Patron, James Dicke II (Dayton); Business Support of the Arts, Dayton Power and Light Company (Dayton) and Ohio Magazine (Cleveland); Community Development and Participation, James Levin, Ingenuity Festival of Arts and Technology (Cleveland); and Individual Artist, Bebe Miller, dancer (Columbus).

- Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio Dessert Reception held in the Oak room of the Columbus Athenaeum. First Lady Frances Strickland will be in attendance.
