Show your support for the arts in Ohio! Join hundreds of arts supporters from around the state at the 2007 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio and Arts Day Luncheon on Wednesday, March 21 at 12 p.m. The event will be held at the Columbus Athenaeum in downtown Columbus and once again combine the popular luncheon format with the awards ceremony. Seven winners have been chosen for outstanding contributions to the arts – statewide, regionally and nationally. Awards will be presented at a luncheon ceremony honoring winners and members of the Ohio Legislature hosted by the Ohio Arts Council and Ohio Citizens for the Arts. Tickets are $50 and include lunch and a dessert reception. During Arts Day, advocates will visit with legislators to discuss the impact of the arts in their community and enjoy performances by Ohio students. Arts Day serves as an opportunity to thank the legislature for its investment in the arts and to express how that investment translates into artistic excellence in Ohio. Register now and join more than 800 artists, legislators, business leaders, arts managers, board members and patrons from every corner of the state as they voice their support for the arts!
