Ohio Arts Council Calls for Entries and Updates for Creative Writers Directory

The Ohio Arts Council is calling for entries and updates for the 2006 update of the Directory of Ohio Creative Writers. The directory includes listings of poets, fiction writers, critics, playwrights, screenwriters and nonfiction writers. Writers with work published by trade, university and small presses, university and independent periodicals, or who have work that appears in broadcast or performances are encouraged to complete a questionnaire. Writers living or working in Ohio are eligible to be included at no charge.

A searchable, online version is available on the OAC Web site at www.oac.state.oh.us/search/writers/SearchWriters.asp

If you are currently listed in the Directory of Ohio Creative Writers, please review your current listing, print it, make any changes necessary and mail it to Kathy Signorino, Ohio Arts Council, 727 East Main Street, Columbus, Ohio 43205-1796.

The directory is used by libraries, schools, community programmers and writers who want to learn about each other and literary activities around the state. The updated directory will be available on the Ohio Arts Council’s Web site in early September 2006.
