Governor's Message

A Message from Governor John Kasich

I am happy to offer a warm welcome to everyone attending the 2011 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio and Arts Day Luncheon. It is an honor to be involved with this wonderful program, paying tribute to those who are committed to enhancing the creative and cultural life of our state.

The great talents and generous contributions of today’s award recipients, and all those who were nominated, help contribute to the economic vitality of our state, prepare our students for the 21st century workforce, and help make Ohio a great place to live, work and visit.

I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to each of the 2011 recipients of the Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio. The remarkable achievements of these individuals and organizations enliven our communities and enrich the lives of countless Ohioans.
