The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers is a national network for arts, education, and community leaders who foster creative expression and artistic achievement in junior and senior high school students. The Alliance was established in 1994 to expand the network of support for aspiring young American artists and writers through the distinguished Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are the largest, longest-running, and most prestigious recognition programs for creative young people in the United States.
