A MESSAGE FROM THE GOVERNOR OF OHIO

I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to everyone in attendance for the Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio.The Arts in Ohio are what help make this a great state and help to create diversity. I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful program. I would also like to extend my sincere congratulations to the recipients of this year's Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio. I commend them for their efforts in helping foster the rich cultural and artistic environment that exists in our great state. I am proud to help honor the remarkable achievements of these individuals and organizations for it is they who help strengthen our communities, enrich education and make Ohio a beautiful state. Their extraordinary talents and generous contributions allow the arts to play an integral role in the lives of every Ohioan.
