Home | The Riffe Gallery Give and Take: Education and the QuiltmakerMay 3 – July 8, 2007 Organized by Quilt Surface Design International, Ltd and the Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery, Department of Textiles, Clothing & Design, University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Give and Take features art quilts by 35 artists working in the U.S. and abroad. This exhibition celebrates the importance of the teacher-student relationship among artists and the contribution of the annual Quilt Surface Design Symposium, which brings together the very best instructors in the art quilt medium with students from around the world for two weeks of workshops and lectures. Each artist featured in Give and Take has been an instructor, a student or both at QSDS.
