Hamilton County Park District is searching for artists to contribute to the design of a new children's garden in Cincinnati. Garden themes derived from popular children's literature will be brought to life with the imaginative use of elements common to the Ohio River Valley. Examples of anticipated artwork include: gates, fountains, garden art, site furnishings (benches, tables, signs), etc. The scheduled opening date for the garden is July 2004. For more information call 513/728-3551, ext. 263 or email tzelek@greatparks.org.

The Cleveland Museum of Art will offer lantern-making workshops on Wednesday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons, November 6-24. The lantern festival takes place December 6-8 and is the museum's contribution to the ninth annual Holiday CircleFest. Holiday CircleFest, a day of seasonal music, gift shopping, workshops and refreshments hosted by the University Circle community, takes place on December 8. To register for workshops or for more information call 216/707-2483. For more information on Holiday CircleFest visit www.universitycircle.org.
