  Stanley J. Aronoff, retired president of the Ohio Senate and a founder of the Ohio Arts Council, has become development director for the proposed Greater Cincinnati Arts and Education Center.

Bill Kincaid, a veteran-all actor, director and composer, has been named artistic director of Weathervane Playhouse in Newark.

Richard J. Diehl has been named managing director of Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati. He has been director of Clark State Community College Performing Arts Center in Springfield and marketing director of Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

  Faberge in America, a traveling collection of nearly 400 creations by the legendary jeweler and goldsmith, is at the Cleveland Museum of Art, March 9 to May 11. Call 800/ 766-6048 for tickets.

A State of Stillness, an installation by E.A. Warson, is in the Mather Gallery of Case Western Reserve University February 28 to April 4. Warson uses natural materials to focus on Native American culture. The gallery is at 11111 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland; 216/ 368-2679.

  Southeastern Ohio Regional Heritage Program is seeking artists for a logo and visual identity design competition. Qualifications are due April 18.   GOVERNOR'S AWARDS LUNCHEON SCHEDULED

The 1997 Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio will be presented to eight individuals and organizations April 30 at an Arts Day luncheon in the Hyatt on Capitol Square, Columbus. In addition, members of the 122nd Ohio General Assembly will be honored for their continuing support of public funding for the arts. Ohio Citizens for the Arts and the Ohio Arts Council sponsor the event.
