SCULPTURE CENTER PUTS INVENTORY ON WEB
The Ohio Outdoor Sculpture Inventory, on the Internet at www.sculpturecenter.org, is a comprehensive, interactive catalog of outdoor sculpture created by The Sculpture Center of Cleveland, in partnership with the Ohio Arts Council's Save Outdoor Sculpture! project, which was funded by a grant from the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution and the National Institute for the Conservation of Cultural Property. The inventory includes information about conservation efforts, condition, ownership and history of outdoor work. This reference for art historians, conservators and artists can help arts advocates become familiar with accessible public sculpture in their communities. The new web site also showcases The Sculpture Center's projects, events and exhibitions, and allows sculptors to share information.
