The fabric of my life is so interwoven with others that if I were to pull any thread it would reveal a path through many people, places and events, a living strand of experiences endlessly connected to a continuous chain of events and interactions. I have become increasingly fascinated with the intertwining of all elements of my universe. That fascination has resulted in a gradual realization that I am not autonomous but interconnected to all things. My recent paintings reflect the interconnections within my universe. Each painting takes on a life of its own and becomes a representation of a living body and a reflection of some aspect of the universe. I layer beeswax and cut-out drawings to create a quality of flesh and skin for each piece. The resulting collage represents the diversity of life within my conscious worlds and the bonds within each organism.
