Jen Maurer Project

The Jen Maurer Project (The JMP) performs original music with a blend of Americana, Roots, Old-Time, Blues, Jazz, and Rock that bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary styles. Instrumentation includes acoustic guitar, 5-string banjo, banjo uke, fiddle, electric guitar, upright and electric bass, percussion and a full drum kit. The band is fronted by two women singers/players whose strength together both captivates and inspires.

The JMP is a band for all ages. Their members are engaging and approachable. Their songs range from tender to danceable. Their lyrics explore the human experience with positivity.

The JMP finds value in coloring contemporary music with traditional sounds. It is important to the group, on both a national and international level, to excite the next generation of musicians to honor tradition while embracing the future.
