I am foremost a teacher and performer of the folk, classical, and flamenco dances of Spain. My goal as an artist is to share my knowledge of the Spanish culture through dane and music. My residency program includes the history, geography, costuming, rhythms, poetry, and lifestyles of Spain and their influences in Mexican, Latin and South American countries. Students are taught the footwork, palmas (handclapping), castaneting, and song. Many times I work with other school departments to help with art and food for a final performance celebration. Each residency is unique and catered to the needs of the school and student population.

Recently I have been doing a lot of choreography and staging for performances along with my teaching. I have had the opportunity to work with several guitarists and singers throughout Ohio and have shared my art form in the classroom, lecture demonstrations, small and large concerts. Through master classes and residencies I try to include the students in the shows. I know we both have a great time in the preparations.

I started my dance training at 4 in NYC and became an apprentise for the Metropolitan Ballet company. After earning my BA in Maathematics and Music with a Masters in Education, I returne to dance and began focusing on all the various types of Spanish dance. I've studies throughout the U.S. and Spain with the very best of flamenco and folk dancers (eg. Jose Greco, Nana Lorca, Azorin, Teo Morca, Illisa Rosal, Ciro, Jose Molino, La Tete, Libby Lubinger, and many more). I am Associate Director of the Fairmout Spanish Dancers, co founder of Flamenco Fire, and solo dancer with the San Maguel Troupe. I have been teaching and performing for 31 years and still get excited with each new student, and still love to dance and study with different professionals. Spanish dance is an emotional art form and I certainly have the passion for it.
