OHIO ARTS COUNCIL HOSTS ARTS ADMINISTRATION SYMPOSIUM

The Ohio Arts Council hosted an arts administration symposium for 30 international guests from 9 countries in June. The weeklong event included sessions on arts administration and visits to arts organizations in Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati. Representatives from public and private cultural organizations in Argentina, Austria, Chile, Cuba, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Israel and Mexico attended.

Participants visited the Wexner Center for the Arts, Columbus College of Art and Design and the Southern Theatre in Columbus; Playhouse Square, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Cleveland

Museum of Art in Cleveland; Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park and The Taft Museum in Cincinnati to observe how they operate.

The Ohio Arts Council's International Program organized the symposium in partnership with the Andes Foundation of Santiago, Chile, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The International Program is committed to bringing
together individuals from diverse backgrounds to develop greater
