  Continuous Replay: The Photographs of Arnie Zane is on view at the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati through June 4. Challenging the concept of beauty and blurring the boundaries between photography and choreography, Continuous Replay is the first extended presentation of photography by noted choreographer Arnie Zane. Ohio Designer Craftsmen will present award winners of the 17th annual juried members exhibition, The Best of 2000, May 7-June 23 at the Ohio Craft Museum, 1665 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Winners were chosen from 65 artists who created ceramic, glass, fiber, wood and metal pieces. For more information call 614/486-4402.

The Cincinnati May Festival, America's oldest choral festival, will perform Gustav Mahler's Symphony No.8, Symphony of a Thousand, and Arnold Schoenberg's Gurrelieder May 19-May 27 at Cincinnati Music Hall. Additional concerts will be at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, Kentucky, and St.Earl in Chains Cathedral, Cincinnati.

LATINO CONFERENCE SCHEDULED IN JUNE

The Ohio Latino Arts Association Conference, Our People Our Business Our Culture, will be held June 17 at the Vern Riffe Center, 77 South High Street, Columbus. An opening reception for A Travis del Horizonte - Beyond the Horizon, an exhibition of Latino artists in Ohio, will be held at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center, Main Street and Civic Center Drive, June 16 from 6-8 p.m. Wayne Lawson, executive director of the Ohio Arts Council, will give the welcome at 7 p.m. Artists will be available to discuss their paintings. He spearheaded the formation of a public-private sector partnership that led to the emergence of Indianapolis during the 1980s as a major American city. He holds the Urban Land Foundation/Joseph C. Canizaro chair for public policy at the Urban Land Institute in Washington, DC, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting quality land use and influencing public policy through research and education.
