Toledo Friends of Photography is accepting entries for its 5th biannual exhibition. All forms of photographic media are welcome. Entrants may submit slides of four individual works. Entry fee is $25. The Ohio Arts Council joins the
state's arts community in mourning the death of Bob Bergman, director of the
Cleveland Museum of Art since 1993, who died May 6. "He will be greatly missed,"
said Ohio Arts Council Executive Director Wayne Lawson. During Bergman's time in
Cleveland, the museum hosted three of its most popular exhibitions, yearly attendance grew
from about 450,000 to 650,000 and 30 of the museum's 70 galleries were renovated or
reinstalled.

Members of the Ohio Arts Council Board
will meet at the OAC offices in Columbus July 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to consider panel
recommendations on grant applications received at the winter and spring deadlines for FY
2000. The meeting is open to the public.
