Performing arts grants for
1999-2000 are available from Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation. The ArtsCONNECT program
supports performing arts tours through presenter consortia and partnerships. ArtsEmerge
grants help artists and presenters explore the potential of a touring project or

Composer Marilyn Shrude of
Bowling Green is the first female recipient of the Cleveland Arts Prize in music in the
awards 37 year history. Shrude is a pianist and professor at Bowling Green State
Universitys College of Musical Arts. Other recipients of the 1998 prize include Mary
Doria Russell, for literature; Holly Morrison, for visual art; and Kathleen
H. Coakley, who received a special citation for distinguished service to the arts. Columbus Symphony Orchestra musicians Randall Hester and Steven Secan recently celebrated 25 years of service, making them the longest serving full-time players in the orchestras history. |
