| This exhibition is the Riffe Gallery's third biennial statewide juried exhibition. Ohio artists, living and working in the state, are invited to submit up to three (3) images of completed work (any medium) to be considered for inclusion in this juried exhibition. The jury selection is based on the work presented. The exhibition dates are November 7, 2019 through January 4, 2020. Jurors: Sean Fitzgibbons, Executive Director, Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, Hamilton Michelle Stitzlein, Artist, Baltimore Dr. Louis Zona, Executive Director, Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown Awards: One $1,000 Best of Show Award will be awarded, and three $500 Juror's Choice Awards will be awarded (one per juror). |

The OAC's Riffe Gallery showcases the work of Ohio's artists and the collections of the state's museums and galleries. The Riffe Gallery is located in the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, 77 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. |

| Call for entry process: 1. Interested artists should complete the online application by visiting:http://apps.oac.ohio.gov/Programsx/IndividualArtist/IndividualArtistLogon.asp *Please ensure that artwork dimensions are included in the online application. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry. 2. After completing the online portion of the application please submit three (3) images in .jpg format to kathy.signorino@oac.ohio.gov Email subject line should read: Ohio Arts Council's Riffe Gallery 2019 Biennial Juried Exhibition 3. Images should be sized to 520 pixels by 520 pixels and 72dpi. If your images are not square the longest side should be 520. 4. The image naming convention should be LnameFname_01_(application#).jpg for example SmithJohn01_0123.jpg The application number is provided to you when you begin your online application. 5. Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance the week of July 15, 2019. Notification will be made by mail or email. If your work is selected for exhibition, Cat Sheridan, Riffe Gallery Director, will contact you regarding loan agreements, transportation, and all other exhibition details by August 17, 2019. 6. Artwork delivery date: Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 7. Artwork pick-up date: Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. |

| In an effort to present exhibitions of merit and significance, work must be evaluated by objective criteria. Clearly, however, an artwork need not meet all of the criteria in order to be accepted for exhibition. When judging the artwork submitted, several standards and combinations of standards may be used. -Suitability of subject, technique, and style for intended audience. -Vitality and originality -Artistic expression and experimentation -Creative and inventive use of the medium -Innovation in style and/or concept -Technical proficiency in the use of the medium/media Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance the week of July 15, 2019.
