The 2012 Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio were presented at a luncheon ceremony, hosted by the Ohio Arts Council and Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation, on May 9, 2012 at the Columbus Athenaeum in downtown Columbus. The ceremony was held in conjunction with Arts Day and honored the 2012 Governor's Awards winners and members of the Ohio Legislature. Winners received an original work of art by Pataskala artist Debra Joyce Dawson, and enjoyed an address by Ohio's Governor John R. Kasich.
