They've been re-inventing Americana for years! Entertainment that's traditional yet original, educational and just plain toe-tapping fun! Elixir is a trio that performs music from the American 1800's, with the traditional lyrics but have updated some of the favorites with fresh new arrangements. They jazz'em up, slow'em down, rock'em and sway'em.

Imagine the Beach Boys doing ''Skip to My Lou,'' a reggae version of ''Down in the Valley,'' and your audience clapping to ''Follow the Drinking Gourd,'' or a rollicking sing-a-long to ''She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain,'' in addition to many traditionally styled 1800's classics.

This multi-talented trio performs their music with guitars, electric bass, mandolin, banjo, fiddle and fun percussion instruments. While wearing 1800's style clothes they will tell histories about the songs, the authors and our country in the 1800's. Elixir - Music For What Ails Ya!
