For over three decades, the Vocal Arts Ensemble has earned constant critical acclaim, garnered a reputation for the highest artistic excellence, and received numerous awards and recognition, including two ASCAP Awards for ''Adventuresome Programming of Contemporary Music.'' The VAE has also collaborated with some of the world's finest musical artists, including conductors James Conlon and Robert Shaw, composers Libby Larsen and Pulitzer Prize winner Aaron Jay Kernis, and annually works with a variety of arts partners and organizations to create distinctive experiences for residents.
