Neos Dance Theatre

Neos is Greek for 'starting something new' - and that's what we're doing. Neos Dance Theatre is the most up and coming company in Northern Ohio serving Mansfield, Akron, Findlay, Oberlin, and Ashland communities regularly. With a wide variety of programming and collaborators our past seasons average an audience outreach of over 30,000 people annually. Neos has toured to over 10 states, most recently to Georgia and Pennsylvania. With a strong presence at The University of Akron Neos has collaboratively produced a new full length Ballet, Snow White and the Magic Mirror, A Grimm Tale, which premiered in April of 2014 as well as other creative processes while on campus featuring world renown choreographers. Neos harbors the work of classical and contemporary choreographers. Of note are Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's resident choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo, 3 works by Heinz Poll, George Balanchine, and Penny Saunders. Director and Co-Founder Bobby Wesner has choreographed four evening length ballets for Neos Dance Theatre and produced an additional ballet by resident choreographer Mary-Elizabeth Fenn.
