Columbus, Ohio--As of November 3, 2015, the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) has upgraded to a new online grants system, ARTIE (Arts Resources Through Innovation and Engagement), and retired the previous system (OnLine Grant Application, or OLGA). Coinciding with the launch of this upgraded grants system, the OAC is releasing revised Guidelines 2017.

Get to Know ARTIE
The ARTIE system is the first state arts agency grant‐making system built using the GMS360 platform built by developer SmartSimple, and features a variety of upgrades designed to improve the constituent experience. Online support material uploads, rich text editing, smart worksheets, automated error-checking, and other tools are designed to make applicants' interactions with the system efficient and effective. Enhanced security and privacy protection will ensure data is secure. Integrated communications tools will help applicants communicate seamlessly with OAC staff members about available funds and application details.

Grant applications, final reports, and other grants-related activities will be handled via the ARTIE system from November 3, 2015 onward. The OLGA system is no longer available.

Revised Guidelines 2017
The OAC is first and foremost a grant-maker, and we know the organizations and individuals we fund are primarily art‐making institutions or artists. The revised Guidelines 2017 are clean, uncluttered, and less than one-third the length of prior documents. Prospective applicants--both organizations and individual artists--will find eligibility information, application instructions, evaluation criteria, and resources efficiently and effectively.

If you have questions about ARTIE or any OAC funding programs please contact the Constituent Investment/Grants Office at 614‐466-2613.
