Ohio Arts Council Announces June Board Meeting

Members of the Ohio Arts Council Board will meet Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the Ohio Arts Council, 727 E. Main Street, Columbus. The business meeting will be held from 12:15 – 2:15 p.m. and is open to the public. The Council Board will review committee reports and grant recommendations for Individual Creativity: Artists and Communities, Individual Creativity: Traditional Arts Apprenticeships, Arts Access, Arts Innovation, Arts Learning: Arts Partnerships Program, Arts Learning: Artists in Residency Program, Sustainability Program (over $1.5 million) and Sustainability Program (under $1.5 million). The Board also will receive updates about the Ohio Arts Council Artists with Disabilities Program and the National Endowment Poetry Out Loud Recitation Competition.

The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally and economically.
